- Have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Have had a stroke
- Have liver disease
- Have kidney disease
- Have a history of vision loss or retinal disorders
- Have a history of hearing problems
- Have a blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma
- Have a penile deformity or history of priapism
- Have a history of mood disorders or psychiatric conditions
- Take alpha-blockers, blood pressure medications, antifungal medications, HIV medications, or other prescription medications
Common Side Effects
Possible side effects may include:
- Headache
- Flushing
- Nasal congestion
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Indigestion
- Mild mouth or throat irritation
- Fatigue
Serious Side Effects
Seek medical attention immediately if you experience:
- An erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism)
- Sudden vision loss in one or both eyes
- Sudden decrease or loss of hearing
- Chest pain during sexual activity
- Severe dizziness or fainting
- Shortness of breath
- Rapid or irregular heartbeat
- Signs of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing
Additional Safety Information
- Use only as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, which may increase the risk of dizziness and low blood pressure.
- Allow the troche to dissolve as directed and do not swallow it whole unless instructed by your provider.
